Plano Baptist Church was founded in 1797 with the call of making Christ's saving grace known to the people of the Plano community. It’s the mission we still gather behind today.

BELIEFS

SCRIPTURE - We believe the Bible was written by men divinely inspired by God. It’s a revelation of Himself to man. It is a perfect treasure of instruction, with God as it's author and Jesus at its center. We turn to it for guidance on doctrinal decrees and holy practices.

GOD - We believe there is only one true God. He is the perfect, eternal God who has revealed Himself in three distinctive natures: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

MAN - We believe man was created by God; in His image and the crowning work of all created things. Yet, man chose to sin against God. Our sin now permeates all of creation. It separates us from God and leads to spiritual death.

SALVATION - We believe God has made a way for our sin to be atoned for, through the death and resurrection of Jesus. Anyone who repents of their sin and trusts in Jesus' redemptive work will be saved from the spiritual consequences of their sin and have restored fellowship with God. Salvation occurs when our faith meets God's grace.

THE CHURCH - We believe the church is the collection of God's People who have chosen to follow Jesus. This includes local church families, as well as, the collective Church of Jesus Followers around the world.

EVANGELISM / MISSIONS - We believe it is the duty and privilege of every follower of Christ and every Christian church to make the Good News of Jesus known in our culture and around the world. We desire to see others come to know Jesus as their own Savior.

STEWARDSHIP - We believe God is the source of all blessings, temporal and spiritual; all that we have and are is owed to Him.

CHRISTIAN UNITY - We believe Christian unity is the New Testament calling for spiritual harmony. It is the cooperation of all Christ's people to meet the common goal of reaching the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ.
